Cascadia Nature Nonprofits

Cascadia is less a place on a map than a way the land insists on being itself. It runs from the fog-drenched redwood coast up through the volcanoes of the Cascade arc and into the temperate rainforests of the north, a region defined not by state lines but by the salmon that thread its rivers and the rain that feeds its forests. To stand beneath old-growth Douglas fir here is to feel how completely water, forest, and ocean are one system.

The organizations working across Cascadia reflect that unity. They defend salmon runs and the free-flowing rivers those fish require, steward the last stands of ancient forest, and fight to keep the Salish Sea and the open Pacific coast intact for the orcas, seabirds, and coastal communities that depend on them. This is watershed thinking made real: protect the headwaters and you protect everything downstream.
