Margate Independent Foodbank Community Interest Company

Margate Independent Foodbank Co-founders John Finnegan and Darryn De La Soul established Margate Independent Foodbank in June 2020 in direct response to the COVID19 crisis created by lockdown, with loss of jobs, earnings and an increase in poverty in Margate. In November 2022 we moved into our current MiCommunity Supermarket premises at 9 High St, Margate, CT9 1DL. Anyone on a low income is welcome to become a member and use the shop, and if you can’t afford even these low prices we will help you with vouchers to use in the shop. We still give out free food to the most needy in our community since we started in 2020 we have given out over 40,000 food parcels Margate Independent Foodbank is a registered CIC - Company Number 12774493.
