Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust

The Mountains to Sound Greenway encompasses connected open spaces, trails and other outdoor recreation sites, working farm and forests, and historic places and towns. Since 1991, the Greenway Trust has championed the conservation of this landscape though a broad private and public coalition, volunteer engagement, and youth education. In 2019 the Greenway became our nation’s newest National Heritage Area (NHA), joining 54 other NHA sites in 32 states designated by Congress where historic, cultural, and natural resources combine to form cohesive, nationally important landscapes.
