Buddy Dog Humane Society

Buddy Dog Humane Society is a small, local shelter with a big impact. We house homeless cats and dogs locally until a new home can be found, and we strive to find a match that will last the lifetime of the pet. We are also able to help homeless pets from South Carolina, Texas, New York City, and Puerto Rico, thereby extending our impact. We spay and neuter the animals in our care, and also educate the public of the importance of spaying/neutering in order to combat the pet overpopulation problem. We also educate the public about the importance of keeping cats indoors, as outdoor cats have a have a huge detrimental effect on native bird populations (in addition to the dangers these outdoor cats face themselves.) Our educational impact is not limited to adults, as we work regularly with youth groups such as schools, girl/boy scout troops, and colleges.
