We are a multidisciplinary civil organization that focuses its work on rural areas of Mexico. We work to strengthen the capacities of social actors and improve decision-making processes that guarantee the maintenance of local and regional social governance schemes. We are an organization involved in the sustainable management of the territory and the functional regeneration of rural landscapes. We support the improvement of the livelihoods of rural families and seek to improve the position of this sector within public policy.The Grupo Autónomo para la Investigación Ambiental (GAIA) is a non-profit civil association, legally established since 1998. It is a grantee authorized by Mexican law and has a CONACyT registry for the development of research and technological development processes. trategic objectives: - Improve the landscape sustainability of the territories where the association has a presence. –Improve the health of the soil through agroecological processes. - Improve the governance of communities through community management of CO2. - Improve the decision-making process of the social actors with which we collaborate by strengthening community and / or group leadershi.
