Wild Carpathians Initiative
The "Wild Carpathians Initiative" is a grassroots movement which fosters various actions to preserve the unique, natural character of the Carpathian Mountains in Poland. We are an informal, open, non-hierarchical and constantly growing group of people involved in the protection of one the last Europe's wilderness areas. Since 2018 we’ve been running summer activist camps and multiple non-violence direct actions targeting logging and commercial hunting in the old-growth forests.
