Utah Clean Energy

Since 2001, Utah Clean Energy has led the transition to clean energy in Utah and the West with vision and expertise. Through advocacy, policy, and public outreach we tackle today’s serious energy challenges with a toolbox of innovative solutions and workable strategies. In January 2001, a volunteer-based public interest group was formed (Utahns for an Energy Efficient Economy) to promote energy efficiency and clean energy technologies to the public and policy makers. During that year, Utahns for an Energy Efficiency Economy increased its involvement in utility regulatory proceedings that affected the deployment of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency. In 2002, Utahns for an Energy Efficient Economy incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and changed its name to  Utah Clean Energy . We broadened our outreach to the clean energy business community, local governments, congregations, and universities/colleges. Through advocacy, education, and diverse partnerships, Utah Clean Energy continues to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency in Utah and the Western Region. Today, Utah Clean Energy has become Utah’s independent resource for clean energy policy, regu.
