Founded in 1957 as an "ornithological society”, HKBWS is now a bird and nature conservation organization with a vision of people and birds living in harmony as nature continues to thrive. We are a registered charitable organization in Hong Kong under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. We are also a member of Birdlife International, the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (lUCN). .
