The Climate Council of Australia

The Climate Council is Australia’s leading climate change communications organisation. As an independent voice on climate change, we’re able to call out misinformation, advocate for science-based solutions, produce hard-hitting reports, and elevate our issue in the media. We’re made up of some of the country’s leading climate scientists, and experts in health, renewable energy, business and policy. Our team of passionate staff, and a community of volunteers and supporters power our work. Our founding is a story of the triumph of people power. The Climate Council was formed by tens of thousands of Australians, who wanted to create an independent and community-funded science communications organisation in response to the 2013 abolition of the Australian Climate Commission.
