Tasmania is home to a unique array of plants and wildlife, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. While Tasmania is well known for its large and iconic national parks and reserves, a number of the species that call Tasmania home are still under threat of disappearing forever. Our remarkable plants and wildlife rely on the critical habitat that only occurs on private land for survival. The TLC is a not-for-profit, apolitical, science and community-based organisation that raises funds from the public to protect irreplaceable sites and rare ecosystems by buying and managing private land in Tasmania.
