Regeneración – Pajaro Valley Climate Action

Regeneracion is based in Watsonville, CA which has the highest percentage of Latino/a/x people of all cities in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Regeneración was founded by a representative group of community members and maintains majority Latinx staff and volunteers including Advisory Board members. We center the perspectives of Latino frontline communities as a grassroots community-based organization that focuses on delivering programs and projects in partnership with community leaders and organizations. All members of our small staff are based in the Pajaro Valley or have a long history of being involved in local education, volunteer, or research programs and projects that focus on improving the lives of the most vulnerable Pajaro Valley residents. Regeneración staff have developed relationships with the frontline farmworker community through volunteer, work, and lived experience and will seek to incorporate more feedback from that community on upcoming local climate resilience projects and programs to ensure their perspectives are being represented as they are the group that will be the most affected by climate change impacts yet have the fewest resources to advocate for th.
