Migado
MIGADO - Migrateurs Garonne Dordogne Charente Seudre - is an association Law 1901, created in 1989 at the request of the Ministry of the Environment, following the association of fishing federations and professional fishermen's associations Garonne and Dordogne basins. Since September 1, 2018, MIGADO has joined the Charente Seudre Migratory Cell in partnership with EPTB Charente and CREAA and has thus extended its territory of action to Charente, Charente-Maritime, Les Deux Sèvres and La Vienne. The main objectives of the MIGADO association are to manage, restore and support migratory fish populations in the Gironde-Garonne-Dordogne-Charente-Seudre basin , which is the last watershed to host the 8 species historically present: European sturgeon ( Acipenser sturio ), Atlantic salmon ( Salmo salar ), sea trout ( Salmo trutta trutta ), Allis shad ( Alosa alosa ), Twaite shad ( Alosa fallax ), sea lamprey ( Petromyzon marinus ), river lamprey ( Lampetra fluviatilis ) and European eel ( Anguilla anguilla ).
