Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Foundation (SFP)

Working to protect the oceans and make all seafood sustainable   Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) is dedicated to delivering healthy marine and aquatic ecosystems and a secure seafood supply through the creation of a responsible seafood economy.  We are working toward a world where all seafood is produced sustainably and protects marine biodiversity.  To achieve this goal, we engage the most significant seafood retailers, brands, and foodservice companies to catalyze their global supply chains and drive actions to rebuild depleted fish stocks, reduce the environmental impacts of fishing and fish farming, and ensure sustained economic opportunities for fishing communities worldwide. SFP pioneered the use of fishery improvement projects (FIPs), which bring together players within the supply chain to push for better environmental management of marine resources. In the past 15 years, we have worked in fisheries around the world to replicate FIP successes and increase industry leadership in fishery improvement efforts. We also champion aquaculture improvement projects (AIPs), multi-stakeholder efforts to address environmental challenges in aquaculture producing reg.
