Project SeaSense
Project SeaSense builds a distributed ocean observation network by transforming sailing vessels into mobile environmental monitoring stations. We provide independent, open-access measurement infrastructure that expands ocean and climate data collection in under-sampled regions. Our work supports climate science, marine ecosystem research, and evidence-based environmental decision-making by increasing the availability of high-resolution environmental data. By leveraging existing maritime activity, we create a scalable, low-impact way to strengthen global understanding of ocean and environmental systems.
